CR #6 - awwww WIPE-OUT..

Hola! It feels like I haven’t taken out my lap top in ages….it’s now 2:30p wed. Had a likkle work out this morning and then school…we learnt future tense today.

…dial up internet for double the price nah mek it at all… frustrating…

Not much to report today really…beach day…

…Well – so much for not much to report…I went to a surf lesson at 3:30p pero it did not end very well….i surfed well (in between wipeouts) and on my last wave di surf board lick me in mi face…oh QUE PENA!! And I was doing sooo well L… think of a major hook straight to the jaw line…OUCH!! All I remember is eating tooth enamel!! Chip up 2 a mi teet dem and dislocate mi jaw! AYE!! Ok ok – my jaw is fine but di teet chip up look like vampire… No hay dentistas en F*#&$(# samara….so I had to take much pain medication via Johnny Walker y Imperial cervesas….and ice the spot…I have a coco on my jaw…and some ruff teeth ! the surf instructor offered to take me to a dentist over 1 hr away…wasn’t comfy with that so relied on my personal doctor (Mindy) that I would be fine – nothing broken!          

To ease the pain – I got 2 tattoos (always wanted to – so y not as I am living out some dreams J) from un hombre de Columbia.....that was fun! Despues, encontramos un restuarante -  muy divertidos! We entertained each other for a while and learnt just how much there is to do in Samara….surf, eat, beach, drink and do it all again….they compd our bill and told us where the hot spot was tonite…..we dont venture off to it… we got to bed very early – di wave dem mash mi up man– dem big and too rough for a beginner! I can safely say, my exhilarating surfing career is over…

Well its now Friday March 9, 2007 and I haven’t written since the bang up.. I have been lounging in the sun and not doing too much outside of school, beach and meals J. I called my dentist in JA– him sey don’t fret –he wasn’t happy when I told him I attempted to file it down with my nail file….he said to leave it alone - we will handle when I come back – as long as di teet dem not fallin out mi head. (BIG UP DR. FOOTE aka - GOOSEY! :))

I made the 5 hour bus journey back to Heredia today and am happily home with my family again. The ride was slow as the bus did pack up and nuff traffic – lot of trucks and the usual Friday rush…

I will attempt to venture to Volcan Poas on my own in the morning by bus….will report.

  

Well it’s Monday 12^th – back at school in Heredia…I have moved up to intermediate 1 (level 5)…YEAH! I didn’t do as well on my samara exam as my first one – I think most students had the same experience…the sun and beach were a big distraction I think! Will have to improve and practice more this week! Spoke too much english there for sure….my family picked that up very quickly and draped me up on it!

Volcan Poas journey was eventful…I had to take a few buses and when I get to the station to take the ONLY bus to the volcano – ya se fue! It had already left! Oh boy….only other option – a very dare taxi…I take it cuz I not going thru this bus drama again….it takes about 1hr to get there – way up in the hills as u can imagine an VERY VERY cold! Not only that – the clouds are SOOO heavy – cant see one ting of the volcano..a cloud of white….oh boy! Anyway – good ting there are trails to walk in di national park….i walk and see some very interesting foliage and animals…get back home and chill with the family…

Sunday – I went to church with family – didn’t understand much of the sermon of course – same routine as our catholic church…I really went b/c Guido Jnr. was singing in the choir and he invited me to come…he has a strong voice for an 11 year old. I then went and explored heredia on my own while the family went to san jose…

How was cricket ceremony in JA folks??? Will look online tomorrow – but if u went – tell me about the experience…historical moment!

Did I tell u I saw my worst nitemare in Samara? Yes – an IGUANA…some of u know only TOO well how I feel about lizards…well – listen – I took a close up shot thru a glass and was so grossed out…they live in the roof of the hotel and are all over….some people eat them here…nice! A new Spanish word ‘guacala’ – not sure if spelling is right – but it means ‘gross’!

I was telling mummy and cox – I can’t believe I am already going into my 3^rd week…time flying on me boy.

Gone to read and try my hand at sudoku – see if I have any patience for it….buenas noches!
